Good morning, Hammerheads!

Afterschool practice begins on Monday, May 11th. Eric Logan is working hard to make sure that the pool will be ready for our first session, so be sure to thank him when you see him. 

Mandatory Meeting

As always, we will have a mandatory parent meeting on the first practice. We'll do 4:45pm for parents of swimmers under 8 years old, and all other parents at 5.45pm. If you can't make one, please make the other! 

NEW COLD WEATHER RULE

Over the past few seasons, we've had a number of practices where it's been too cold for the swimmers, and it becomes counterproductive. So, Coach Ashley and I have decided to put a rule in place that practices will automatically be cancelled for 6U, 7-8's and 9-10's if the air temperature is below 62 degrees. 11 and up will be optional. With regards to rain, we swim if there's no lightning/thunder, and we can still see the bottom of the pool. 

Concessions

Christie South will be running the concessions stand again this year, with hot food being provided by Southern Steer Butchers. The profits from the concessions go straight back into the team. Every year, we ask each family to donate a pack of soft drinks for the concessions. It would be fantastic if you could bring them along to the meeting on the 11th.
